“Many of these people are trying to provide for their families, but they don’t have access to clean water or adequate medical care. Our whole mission is to lift them up through new opportunities.” – Jack Nulty
Southern Development Homes is joining an effort to fight global poverty by partnering with Homes for Hope, a national nonprofit organization that works with builders and their trade partners to raise funds that assist aspiring entrepreneurs living in developing countries start their own businesses through small-enterprise loans.
“We are honored to be working with Homes for Hope in their mission to fight global poverty,”says Frank Ballif, President of Southern Development Homes. “The sale of this one home will have immeasurable impact in the lives of so many people around the world.”
The sale of Charlottesville’s local Home for Hope, under construction and located at 102 Paynes Mill Rd. in Southern Development Homes’ new Downtown Charlottesville Payne’s Mill neighborhood, will substantially contribute to a broader effort to alleviate poverty in 16 countries around the world.
To accomplish our mission of fighting global poverty, we first partner with builders and their trade partners here in the US and Canada to build Homes for Hope.
Located in the heart of downtown Charlottesville, Payne’s Mill is one of our newest communities that is minutes away from restaurants, shops, movie theater, and Wegmans, all located at 5th Street Station.
Payne’s Mill is only 1/2 a mile from I-64, 2 miles from UVA Medical Center, 2.2 miles from Main Street, and 2.4 miles from the Historic Downtown Mall. Payne’s Mill is right where you want to be!
